here is my story
I was a Paramedic until I was injured in an accident and could no longer work in the field. Being a Paramedic was how I identified myself. To the core, it's who I was. I went back to school and studied graphic design and started my own business. I was satisfying the artist in me, but felt lost. In my mind I was a Paramedic still. I was losing the use of my right leg due to the back injury I had suffered, was inactive and rapidly gaining weight. I tried for over 15 years to lose that weight. I tried everything - You know. I lost 20 lbs., going up and down. Always creeping back up. Sounds downhill doesn't it? Well, they developed a procedure able to repair my spine. I saw a friend rapidly losing weight, wanted to do the same thing of course, quickly lost 32 lbs, felt energetic and healthy - And . . . discovered I could satisfy the Paramedic in me, helping people to rediscover their health, before the ambulance was called. I'm now a Certified Health Coach with my own business. Every day is a joy. I'm helping people change their lives. To feel good in their skin and have the health they deserve. Many of them are paying it forward by becoming Health Coaches themselves. I am so appreciative of the education I receive from Take Shape For Life and am so proud to be a Health Coach. Don't you love happy endings:) PS My Husband used this program to lose weight and reduced his medications - Just in time to save him from the widow maker (heart blockage which causes sudden death). The doctors said he wouldn't have survived if he had still been overweight and suffering from high blood pressure and type II diabetes.
